SUKA (of his real name Denis Lidon) was born in Geneva in Switzerland in 1968. He began his photographer's career with a first exhibition in Geneva in 1996, presenting images brought back from his exploratory journeys in Argentina, in India and in all Latin America. His artistic calling arises from the love of travels and from the observation.

Arrived in Guadeloupe in 1996 after his various journeys, he found an ideal compromise between a daily living environment and his taste of adventure. He appreciates particularly the mix of the cultures and the interbreeding offered by this region to the crossroads of the Antilles and Americas.

On his way, he takes an interest in decoration and the drawing of furniture. He realized numerous works of interior design in Guadeloupe: restaurant, shop, offices, private houses and public places.

As an experimented photographer, he feels naturally concerned to the use of graphic details of the nature to create atmospheres, decorations, and settings.

The artworks presented here detect the beauty in the smallest details of " the Caribbean nature ": its beauty, its natural shapes, its colors, glorified by the macro lens.
